San Antonio Kitchen Expansion Update

On August 9, 2010, in Lone Star Info, by Justin Bravo

With limited kitchen space and not wanting to make her living room smaller, our client decided to expand the back of her home out to allow for a larger kitchen, pantry, and a small office area.

With limited access to room addition area, we use a cement truck to pump the cement in.

After foundation of the room addition is poured, crews work fast to smooth and finish the surface.

There was a limited amount of room in the backyard so our designer decided to go with a free-form design.

We always try to match the siding, roofing, trim, and architecture of the original home.

While the exterior appears to be finished, there is still much more to be done. We need to complete the roof, paint the exterior, and install flagstone on the exterior porch.

We just finished the demolition of the kitchen, now to put it all back together. Cabinets have been ordered and should be in next week.

Remodeling Testimonials

We called multiple San Antonio remodeling companies to come to our home to give us an estimate. Of the five we called one never showed up, one tracked mud throughout the house (the highest bid), and the other three were all in the same price range. What I liked about Lone Star was that they showed up on time and seemed to be so passionate about their company and what they do. Also when they presented me the estimate they showed me a copy of their insurance, license for the city and state, and gave me a large list of references. All their employees were nice, well dressed, and easy to communicate with (I found hard to find in other San Antonio remodeling companies). Lone Star was so easy to work with allowing me to buy my plumbing fixtures online to save some money. I found that several other San Antonio remodeling contractors made you buy stuff from them! They also provided me with a payment schedule so I knew when to expect every payment. This was very convenient and help me plan my budget. All my family and friends that have seen our bathroom are always so full of compliments. Thanks again guys!
